Level of Service continues to improve through this QA program along with Daily Ops Meeting to discuss upcoming Close Watch Mission Support ensuring Service Above and Beyond with 69 Verbal Compliments from different Combatant Commanders, Protocol and recently CODEL Visitors. LBAS adjusts to the work requiered and always willing to support Operations Department.

LBAS Daily Operations meetings provided a means to identify perfomance requirements above and beyond the PWS, which will be suppported at no cost to the Government. This ensures 100% support and negates potential mission failure. Supported 18 F-18 aircraft the request of Air Operations Officer and Detachment Coordinator transporting aircrews to hotels at no cost to Government. This support ensured Corenet Aircraft could launch on time and meet Tanker Refuel schedules to safely return these aircraft to home station.

The LBAS team continues to solidify an already strong relationship with airlift customers, transit units and aircrew supporting DoD airlift. Team members provide technical assistance and services to support NAVSTA Rota Airlift, cargo and passenger’s needs. Team works closely with users and when able provides services above the requirement, to include providing available resources, performing customer delivery cargo movements and enhanced passenger handling.

LBAS team members remained fluid during the rapidly developing policy and procedure changes as a result of COVID19 operational requirements. The team implemented all required additional screening measures in the most expeditious manner possible. This included terminal entry procedures, passenger screening requirements, aircrew and passenger transportation and passenger management at various locations across the base and airfield.
